AI Productivity.tools started as a running list of what actually works on a real subscription budget, not a top-ten pulled from a vendor's press kit. It grew into a directory: tool profiles, switch guides for the tool you already have, and job-specific roundups for the roles that ask us the same questions over and over.
A tool profile covers what it does, current pricing checked against the vendor's own page and dated, honest pros and cons, and the alternatives worth knowing. A switch guide compares named competitors head to head. A use-case guide sorts tools by job instead of by feature list, because "best AI tool" depends entirely on whether you are drafting a lease or grading a quiz.

That funds the time it takes to retest a tool when it changes its pricing, which in this industry is often.
